I’m so grateful to be looking outside at sunshine right now. I know that so many people across the country are still snowed under. But our crocuses are coming up and my Daphne bushes are about to explode with fragrance. I’ve also found myself starting to sweat when I wear my Canada Goose HyBridge Lite jacket outside for walks.
Spring is here.
Which means I get to hit refresh on the closet and transition into some warmer weather clothes.
One item that I’ve started breaking in is my Mountain Khaki Old Faithful Sweater.
It’s a heavy weight polyester but still very soft. It’s also got some breathability to it despite the heavy material.
The pockets are lined so on days when I don’t have gloves, they actually keep my hands warm.
The Old Faithful has an athletic fit but is still just a tiny bit puffy around my mid-section. Not enough to make me avoid wearing it but for very thin women, you’ll want to be aware that there might be a some extra give in the fabric.
What I Love
- The sleeves have two snaps on them so it’s possible to tighten the cuffs around your wrists to prevent wind from zipping up through there.
- It’s got two interior pockets perfect for a cell phone or wallet.
- Just. So. Warm.
Not So Much
- The exterior zippered pockets seem to be a tad small. Even with my small hands, it feels like the opening could be a bit wider.
*****
The Old Faithful is great for around town, on the plane (oy, with that cold draft blowing!), but it’s also a nice piece to travel with this spring. It might be a bit bulky to pack away in your luggage but if you can wear it to your destination or keep it handy in your daybag, you’ll do well to have it handy.
Available on Amazon starting at $90.
