In some parts of the world, the only reason you can go outside right now is for groceries and to exercise. Here in Washington State, our parks and trails are starting to open up which means that, for the first time in months, I can now get out for a hike! Whoo hoo!
But because the weather is still a bit tenuous (last week it was in the low 80’s, this week it’s cool and rainy), I’ll need to have some protection on my feet against the weather at least for the next couple of months. Trails will still be muddy (especially in the mountains) and the likelihood of rain during a hike is high.
LOWA’s new Innox Pro GTX Lo Ws hiking shoes are just the fit. First and foremost, with a Gore-Tex lining, I’ve got some protection against the elements. But it’s not just about the lining that makes these so great for me.
Like many of LOWA’s hiking boots, these are super light weight. Not only is this great for my feet but when I’m able to travel again–as in actually get on a flight and go somewhere–they’ll be easy to carry in my luggage to a hiking destination.
Another great feature of these is that there’s plenty of grip on the outsole. Sure, this is helpful when hiking, but if I decide to run down a mountain (which I often do), I have some security in knowing that I won’t slip.
With LOWA, I’m generally a bit more conservative on my sizing. With some brands I need to bump up to an 8.5. With LOWA, I’m a solid 8 and there’s still a tad bit of room at the toes so I’m not slamming my feet when I’m coming down the mountain.
These come in: Prune, Black/White, Turquoise/Pink and Navy/Salmon.
The Innox Pro GTX Lo Ws’s are $195 and available direction from LOWA Boots. These are well worth the price when you consider they will last you for years of hiking adventures!
By the way, during the pandemic, LOWA is shipping from their warehouse a few times a week so it’s easy to order directly from them 🙂
Do you know that I’m a LOWA Brand Ambassador? I’ve been testing LOWA hiking boots and shoes for years and delighted to be part of their team!
