Tania Aebi is one of my heroes. I read her book, Maiden Voyage, probably 20 years ago. It’s the story about her round the world solo travels in a sailboat. She was the first American woman and the youngest person to ever circumnavigate the globe solo.
I loved reading about her adventures and, while sailing the big blue ocean was not of interest to me, I did find inspiration to begin my own travels after reading her book.
I received an email from her the other day that she is getting ready to embark on yet another sailing journey. She’s taking off with her two teenage sons on a sailing trip that will take them from Curacao to Columbia, through the Panama Canal, on to Ecuador and off to Tahiti (plans are quite loose at this point).
Once they hit Tahiti, she will pass the kids over to their father (her ex) and they will continue the journey.
Keep posted on her journey as she’ll be documenting the trip on her blog and website. Good luck, Tania!
Happy Travels!

How does someone e mail her, personally? My story is long, but I really need to e amil her for questions.
I have a 28ft Newport and plan to sail away in 3 years.
