Hello, Wanderluster!
Coming up in 2014 is a treat for diehard WanderTours fans and newcomers alike – two new tours! The first is North India Culinary Tour and the other is the Thailand & Laos Hilltribe Cultural Tour. While we’ve been running the North India tour for awhile, this new incarnation focuses on the fabulous and varied cuisine of India. And I’m just tickled to offer the Thailand and Laos tour which will focus on the fascinating hilltribes in the region. Woot! Who’s in?
Next month I’ll also have the details for the Santa Fe and Seattle Culinary Tours for 2014. The waiting list is already quite long but you can still let me know if you’d like to be among the first to hear about those.
On another note, one of my favorite things I do in the summer is attend the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City. How can spending three days in a convention center in the middle of summer be fun? Because I’m introduced to all the cool new gear, clothes, and technology coming to market. I then get to share those with YOU, like this little preview. Watch for my WanderGear Wednesday posts with reviews on these items and more.

Bella Stolz
Bella is a writer, yoga instructor, and a secret agent for inner peace. She loves a true “Indiana Jones” style adventure and equally enjoys the pampered posh experience. A lifetime student of Yoda-inspired zen, her search has taken her on worldwide ramblings. Using her passion for yoga to spread bliss, there’s no telling where her downward dog will take her! (Think horse pastures and airport terminals.) Follow Bella on Global Zen.
Ellie Geronikolos
Ellie is one part flight attendant, one part adventure seeker and one bigger part travel guru. She is also made up of a lot of modesty as you can probably tell. Ever since she took one “finding yourself” backpacking trip five years ago, she has been hooked on travel. Her day job is flying and exploring the world, and her night job is encouraging women to do the same through her blogging and web series. Ellie is a lover of Mexican food, bike riding, and pretending to live in cities that she doesn’t actually live in. Follow Ellie on Short Stops.

100 Easy Camping Recipesby Bonnie Scott
When you’re out camping this summer and fall, why settle for the same old same old? Namely packaged hot dogs for dinner and oatmeal for breakfast. 100 Easy Camping Recipes is… easy. Camp French Toast, Smoked Veggies, or French Bread Pizza? Why, YES, thank you! .

Rough Guide to Cumbia
Cumbia music (originating from Colombia) is a blend of Caribbean and African styles. It’s all about the dance groove and has traditionally been a courtship dance. It’s seductive in the way those South Americans know how to be seductive but it’ll have you chair dancing, too!

Hangover Part II with Bradley Cooper
I know, it’s a silly movie. But if you want to see some beautiful scenery of southern Thailand and get a taste of Bangkok’s grittiness, this is a fun one to watch. I’ve actually watched it a couple of times but still find it amusing and the beach scenes tempting enough to make me want to jump on a plane.

Bassboomz Speakers
Simply awesome. These are tiny speakers that are easy to travel with and much better than trying to listen to music on your iPhone speaker. I can’t wait to share my music on my next group trip! Read more…
