Icebreaker Meridian T-shirt: WanderGear Wednesday

by Beth Whitman - Wanderluster (June 8th, 2011)

Icebreaker Meridan t-shirtI’m being optimistic in believing (really, hoping, wishing, praying) that summer is nearly here in the Pacific Northwest and I’m breaking out the warm weather clothes – including this t-shirt from Icebreaker – the Meridian.

There’s probably not a lot I can say about this top that isn’t obvious (short sleeves, v-neck) but I will tell you my favorite feature is the shaped hem. It doesn’t fit loose and billowy like many t-shirts and though my big boobs don’t often appreciate a form-fitting top, this one fits really nicely without being too tight.

As a travel piece, I’ve actually gotten quite a bit of use out of it in the last 8 months especially during my trips to Papua New Guinea (photo below) and India, where it’s been incredibly hot. It’s made of Beth Whitman in Papua New GuineaIcebreaker’s Ultralite 150, their Superfine weight material. Therefore, it works well in the heat as a solo piece and also as a base layer for cooler weather.

It’s available for $65 from the Icebreaker website. Though this might sound a little pricey for a T, you can be assured a high quality product that’s going to last you for years.

Now if they’d only make it in purple!

Available on Amazon for $50.

Travel Well,

Beth
