Ever carry around those little sample foil packets of lotion or hand cream when you’re traveling over a long weekend? If you don’t use them up completely, they get all messy and spill out over the rest of your toiletries. I personally admit to having a dozen or so of these little foil packets of sample toothpastes and lotions just sitting in a drawer. They end up being so messy to travel with that they remain unused after, yes, years.
Well, when I was at the New York Times Travel Show a couple of weekends ago, I discovered a company that’s finally created packaging that circumvents the spillage problem for us travelers.
MySmartPac offers a collection of toiletries in environmentally-friendly packaging that automatically reseals itself after you’ve squeezed out what you need. No more tossing out half-used packages of hair gels and hand lotions on those short trips when you don’t need a larger travel-size bottle.
The gal’s pac includes: face cleanser, face cream, body lotion, toothpaste, hair gel AND a razor, deodorant and a toothbrush. They even include a resealable bag that you can use to carry through security at the airport.
The packaging is made of 25% post-industrial waste, the products are not tested on animals and are created with ingredients such as green tea, sweet almond oil and grape seed oil. I found the fragrances to be really subtle and not overbearing at all.
Go MySmartPac! At last someone has been innovative enough to figure out how to make those little sample packets go away.
