The Sherpani Prima LE is just such a cross body bag.
There are a couple of reasons that make this bag stand out over some of the other small cross body bags that I’ve owned (and still own).
First, it’s well crafted. I admit that many similar bags that I own are ones that I’ve purchased in India or Southeast Asia. They’re totally cool, but they only tend to last me about six months before they start falling apart. No way that’ll happen with the Prima Le.
Second, it’s super stylin’. A touch of femininity. Lots of practicality.
It’s got two zippered pockets in the front. The upper one (with the white zipper, pictured above) is the easiest one to get to and can accommodate business cards and even a cell phone. There’s another zippered pocket that’s tucked in behind the green panel. It’s hidden, which means that if a pickpocket were to try to steal something, it’s unlikely they could get to this pocket at all.
In the back, there’s a slip pocket (no zipper) that sits up against your body and can easily hold small papers (shopping lists!) or other items you’d like to have quick access to but you aren’t worried about losing.
What I Love
- Two zippered pockets on the outside to keep items safe and from falling out but are easy to get to.
- Feminine design
- Durable – no doubt this bag is going to last me for years
Not So Much
- I’d love to have one more interior pocket and then have the key holder inside this pocket. I keep my cell phone in the main compartment and am worried about it getting scratched by my keys so I keep my keys in the back open pouch so I can get to them easily.
- The material at the start of the zipper to the main compartment is long and sticks out well above the bag. It’s meant to be material that you hold on to so you can more easily zip and unzip the bag, but it makes it look a tad sloppy.
Overall I love Sherpani because of their wide selection of bags and, in with some of their items, the really beautiful artwork (yes, artwork!) on them. They’ve also got wallets, backpacks and luggage. You should totally check them out.
The Prima LE comes in Jade/Black (pictured), Sangria/Black, and Pewter/Black. Available on Amazon for about $30.
