A couple of weeks ago I was swept away to New Mexico by my wonderful sig’o for a belated birthday celebration. Santa Fe and Taos are a couple of my favorite spots on earth.
We soaked in hot springs, hiked, ate spectacular (and spectacularly spicey) food and walked the main squares of both Santa Fe and Taos.
One of the sights common in the area are the ristras, strings of red chilis that hang on doors and walls and swing freely on porches. I couldn’t help but get into the Christmas spirit seeing these festive red reminders of the impending holidays.
Stay warm. Shop til you drop. And plan your travels for 2009 ๐
