As I was writing this post, it struck me how ironic it is that the TV series Lost (or at least parts of it) are filmed on Oahu. For one, you can’t possibly get lost on the island. But more than that, I think there’s an element of being Found here, or finding yourself, or some other form of the word.
The view from the Pali Highway is awesome. But what is more awesome is the wind tunnel that blows through here. My hair was standing straight back as I stood on this spot where, in the late 1700’s, Kamehameha fought the Battle of Nu’uanu and won control of Oahu.
This was the view from our hotel room at the Embassy Suites in Waikiki. Could it GET any better than this?

I wonder if they chose this place to film lost just to be polemical. It does look inviting.

Beautiful! My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in Hawaii in October. The accomodations are booked and we are so excited! Now that we have official plans it seems like everywhere I look on the web are beautiful pictures of Hawaii. It makes me want to pack my bags!

I can’t ever get enough of Hawaii pictures. Love Oahu, and yes, it’s always a reflective place for me. Must be those warm winds.
