Since I’m in New York for the NY Times Travel Show this weekend, thought I’d pay homage to the city with this sunset image.
As a Seattlite used to lots of space and nature, it’s sometimes hard for me to fathom the density of the Big Apple. I’m both exhilerated by it and put off. I want my eggplant parm but then give me Mt. Rainier!
Travel Well,
Beth

Fantastic photo! I love NYC and so enjoyed my many years there as a young
adult, followed by years of bi-coastal living. I was thrilled to be back
there this past fall to re-experience and remember how
much I adore this city.

BTW, there are great pockets of nature in NYC. Don’t miss Central Park, one of the great massive parks on the planet!
I use to roller skate there
regularly and heck, even grabbed the back of buses on the busy streets
of NYC while on skates, hitching a ride and bobbing in and out of traffic
while dodging pedestrians, pot holes and messenger boys on bikes! LOL!
Have a blast at the Travel Show!

I’m glad you like the photo. I took it from the top of Rockefeller Center on my first trip to New York on a COLD and windy day in November 2008. I hope you had fun in NYC.
