When she was barely one year old, Vera Marie Badertscher’s family went on a road trip from Ohio to
Mississippi. Since that first trip she has scaled the narrow steps of Angkor Wat, meandered through Jerusalem, scrunched across a New Zealand glacier, inhaled the wild thyme on Greek mountains, and swayed with a midnight crowd at an Easter paseo in Seville. She shares these
experiences with readers of a variety of regional and national magazines, including National Geographic Traveler, American Style, Steinway & Sons and Rolls Royce.
When she is not traveling, she is reading and blogging about books, movies and travel at A Traveler’s
Library. She contributes to Your Life Is a Trip; Wandering Educators; and I Explore. She is also one of the Travel Insight 100 members at Uptake.
