Cassie is a psychology graduate, social work student, and a former children’s theatre director from Vancouver, Canada. She has written for travel websites, newspapers, and magazines, reviewed local theatre productions in Vancouver, and has had stories featured in several non-fiction books including the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.  Her favourite writing assignment was visiting an SOS Children’s Village in rural Peru as a visiting journalist and writing an article about their organization for the Vancouver Sun. Her favourite travel experiences include hiking the Inca Trail, teaching English in a Peruvian orphanage, doing the chicken dance on the Great Wall of China, and volunteering at a multilingual summer camp in an Irish castle for kids from all across Europe. She is a playwright and recently worked with an award-winning children’s author on the stage adaptation of her novel. When she’s not working, travelling, writing, or attending school, she moonlights as a Fairy Godmother, granting wishes with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
