Disposable underwear. Now wait, before you completely ignore this recommendation, hear me out.
I, too, was suspect when I first heard about disposable underwear, thinking that surely they would be inferior and uncomfortable. But, oh no, that’s not the case at all.
OneDerWear’s line of 100% cotton underwear are perfect for travelers or those in situations where washing your clothes is difficult or impossible. Most notably, they are actually quite comfortable. If the test is that you don’t notice them when you’re wearing them, then they pass with flying colors.
While it’s possible that these will last a few washes, because they are made from very lightweight cotton, it’s best to toss them after one use. The company states that they are biodegradable, so I suppose it’s possible to bury them if you’re hiking.
For the ladies, OneDerWear is available in three types, bikini brief, classic brief, and thong. A package of five retails for $4.70 and under. Disposable socks are also available.
