I’ve come to appreciate shoes that I can pull out of the box, slip on and walk for miles without having any issues. The uppers and soles of the Trulie sandals from Taos are so soft that I can do just that.
I’ve worn these out on the town in Seattle and throughout the city of New Orleans during our recent Culinary Tour.
Overall, these are excellent shoes for warm weather. Even in the heat (high 80’s), my foot didn’t get sweaty or uncomfortable in them.
While I’m not one to wear heels or large wedges, it is nice to have the slight heel on the Trulies. I found it’s just enough that I’m not tripping over myself but that they give me a little bit of height.
The soft cork bottom provides a bit of a cushioning for walking around so long days on my feet are not uncomfortable.
What I Love
- Soft uppers that are comfy from Day One
- Adjustable straps at both the toe and ankle provide a customizable fit
- Cork lowers for softer walking
- Great color options (Black, Burnt Orange, Camel, Chocolate, Magenta (shown above), Mint, Red, Stone)
- Size is true
I’ve been careful not to get caught in wet weather in these but I do worry that if I get stuck in the rain, the upper leather and lining will get ruined. We’ll see :-).
Travel Well,
Beth

Disclosure: Taos sent these shoes to me for review. Regardless, everything I have said in the post reflects my honest opinions.

It’s been 3 months since you posted this, and I finally got an excuse to buy these sandals. 😀 Woot!

I still love mine, Lauren. When I’m not in flip flops, these are what I’ve been donning to go out at night this summer. What color did you get?
