I carry a lot of electronics when I travel – more than I’d like to admit (because they end up being the heaviest items in my luggage).
But, it’s a fact that likely won’t change much in the coming years.
One of my biggest packing issues is to how to properly pack these items without them getting tangled together, broken or missing in action in my clothes.
To help resolve this, I’ve taken to using padded cases to keep everything in one place.
Magellan’s Stowaway Electronics Case is an excellent option for this. Above you’ll see items that I typically carry including:
- flashlight
- iPhone power cord
- Kindle power cord
- camera battery charger
- spare phone and power cord
- video camera power cord
The case comes with 3 Velcro dividers, making it easy to separate items into various configurations, depending on their size. The sides are “hard” but still somewhat pliable and the interior is padded to keep items protected.
Best feature? The zippered pocket in the lid. This is a thin pocket perfect for extra SD cards or SIM cards for your phone.
Note – you wouldn’t want to use all the dividers at once as they do take up a lot of room but they are great for keeping items separated out and give you some flexibility in the configuration.
Even if you aren’t carrying a bunch of power cords or electronics, it’s a great case for other items including business cards, jewelry and protein bars – really anything that you’d like to have easy access to.
Available in black and red for just over $20 on Magellan’s website.
Travel Well,
Beth

Packing electronics is a real challenge. This looks like a good solution. Thanks for the tip.

I could use one of these. Instead of having cords like spaghetti all over my bag.

This I could use. Travel bloggers bring with them too many cords. There should be one universal cord that works for all electronics. Now there’s an idea!
