Santorini, Greece – Photo of the Day

This is one from the archives.
I visited Santorini back in 2004 with Jon and his mom – she had wanted to visit Greece for ages, so we took her!
You’ve likely seen beautiful images of the whitewashed buildings found on this little island. It’s no less dramatic in person than all those professionally taken photos.

One morning, I wandered out early and saw this fantastic sunrise. You can feel the warmth, can’t you?

From the deck outside of our hotel room, we could see across the water, including many of the neighboring islands.

I’ve always wanted to visit there. It looks gorgeous!
Glorious! Thanks for the Greece-fix going into my weekend – now, where can I pick up some dolmas?!
Wow! Your pictures capture it perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
that is so INCREDIBLY beautiful. wow!
Very pretty photos. Greece is so picturesque, isn’t it.
Oh my. These pictures make me JEALOUS! Beautiful!
Great pictures!! My favorite is the one showing the white building during sunset. I have been to Mykonos and Rhodes but never to Santorini. Would like to go.
Stunning. Love that white against the blue sky.
Well, now you’ve done it. I’ll be homesick for Greece the rest of the day. I’ve been to Santorini twicer and walked the cliff walk from Oia to Thira village. Back when I was shooting film, that walk cost me a fortune. Everywhere you look–gorgeous pictures.
