January and February are usually the coldest months of a Canadian winter, thus everyone generally plans a trip somewhere hot to break up the monotony. Instead, we’re planning a trip that will embrace winter and all it has to offer.
Elkridge Resort and Spa is located at one of Saskatchewan’s most popular lakes, Waskesiu, in the Prince Albert National Park, a few hours north of Saskatoon. Elkridge is a beautiful resort complex, our little slice of Europe here at home and takes architectural cues from the famous Fairmont Banff Springs, nestled in the mountains of Banff, Alberta.
We’ve taken advantage of a two nights for the price of one winter savings offer (designed specifically to increase resort capacity during the low season) and have even booked a couple’s massage at the Salacia Spa.
We plan on spending our days exploring the hundreds of kilometers of snowmobiling trails and our nights unwinding in a hot tub (another great Canadian winter tradition). I’ll tell you all about it in February! JennKSharp
