Happy Tree Tuesday – Barn Yoga!
Good morning! I’m getting geared up for my afternoon of barn yoga, can you say a dream come true! I actually was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa though lived in California from the time I was 6 months old. Every now and then, my country girl comes out and she comes out bold!
Notice I am wearing what a friend would call “my power color”, one of which is this fresh spring green. I love that I nearly match the grass here, lol. To me, green indicates growth and live, as in I am growing in my life, which is totally true. Colors affect how we feel and sometimes, when I am am leaning towards being a cranky pants I will wear a bright spring color to help lighten up my mood. And it really works! Especially in the dead of winter when people notice and they seem to brighten a bit too at the relief of color.
Another thing to notice about my Vrikasanan today is that my foot is resting above or below my knees. The reason for this is simple and important: keep the knee free of weight bearing pressure as it is a joint. Go low or high, but go glorious. You are a unique Tree in this beautiful thriving forest.
Smiles and Sunshine…and Tree on!
