Located in Marfa, Texas, the Judd Foundation maintains and preserves artist Donald Judd’s living and working spaces, libraries, and archives.
I love the architecture throughout town. The blue skies go on for days!
You can stay in the Rock Hudson suite or the Elizabeth Taylor suite at Hotel Paisano. They both stayed here during the filming of Giant, also starring James Dean and a young Dennis Hopper.
You can have a drink at the bar near this courtyard if you’re not staying in the hotel. It’s a lovely place to linger.
The Presidio County Courthouse is one of my favorite buildings on the planet. If you peruse my Marfa posts, you’ll see this beauty pop up over and over again.
Food Shark cars are fun to spot around town.
The Marfalafel from Food Shark is a must-eat while in town. It’s huge! It feeds me for the entire afternoon.
Prada Marfa is worth the one hour round-trip drive from Marfa. There is debate over whether this roadside art installation will remain or not, so be sure and look into it before your travels.

May your journey be your muse,
Rachel
