Santa Fe, New Mexico is one of my very favorite places in the U.S. Not only am I enamored with the landscape, I love the food.
You don’t have to be in Santa Fe for great food, however. You can be assured excellent food pretty much anywhere in New Mexico. This was a plate of enchiladas with beans and rice served at a local cafe my friend discovered on the way to the Albuquerque airport. Even a simple platter of food can be immensely satisfying. Particularly when it includes a dollop of hot sauce (see the little bowl of red sauce?).
