Earlier this week I had a little time to explore Toronto in the warmth of a late summer day. I loved the contrasts I encountered;
historic buildings of stone nudging up to modern glass skyscrapers,
locally-sourced produce found in markets where dozens of languages were being spoken around me,
English-style rowhouses filled with global residents near Chinatown.
There were colorful, bustling hubs such as Toronto’s Kensington Market,
as well as contemplative green spaces.
What kinds of contrasts have you discovered in the cities you’ve explored?
