Last week I wrote about Jay’s and my recent getaway at The Resort at the Mountain near Mt. Hood. In addition to the regular features of the resort, it has special events and packages each season to ramp up the fun quotient for guests. Be sure to look for these when booking a stay.
Last spring The Resort put on at least nine events and packages ranging from special rates during the Hood River Blossom Fest to unlimited golfing to a fly fishing trip to a combined skiing and golfing weekend to all the equipment needed to look for Bigfoot.
Our weekend included the “Howling in the Hills” festival, which is held each fall at The Resort.
In addition to live music, games on the lawn to entertain the kids (pumpkin bowling, a corn toss, pumpkin carving, face painting and more), and local craftsmen selling their wares, a number of local restaurants, wineries and breweries were there to sell food and drink. It was a great way to sample the local cuisine. Here are some photos of what we ate paired with the restaurant that served it.
