For some reason I haven’t been able to stay on the blog bandwagon lately. And by ‘lately’ I mean for the past two months. It seems like just last week it was the beginning of June, and now all of the sudden it’s the middle of August…how did that happen??? Is time moving that quickly everywhere else in the world, or am I in some weird time warp here in Chiang Mai?
Actually – scratch that – I know I’m in a time warp. Exhibit A:
We have high standards here in Thailand – Apparently a two-hour turnaround time for a frozen cheeseburger and french fries is acceptable. Since time moves so quickly here, it actually only feels like ten minutes.
It’s not for lack of topics or things to share – a lot has happened and I have plenty of things to write about, but can’t seem to get them down on paper. I’ve had visitors, climbed waterfalls and went to a friend’s home village, been attacked by ‘zombie’ first graders and turned a year older. I need to write about the restorative power of a day trip, future travel plans, how I’m working/living a different routine than I ever have before and what it’s teaching me for how I would like to set my life up, cross-cultural dating and sniff kissing (yes, you read that correctly…now don’t you want to know more?? Well, hopefully, I’ll be able to actually focus and write about it…someday) . I have several drafts of posts that have been started and then just left sitting. Weeks will pass and I still can’t seem to finish them or get my act together.
I thought I went to this lake last month…turns out it was actually three months ago…
So…I guess what I’m try to say is… Sorry. And I still am not providing a legit post.
Do you feel like time is running away from you? What do you do when you can’t focus or seem to keep getting distracted by everything else than what you’re needing to do?
