Your love of travel can extend to your kids too and Sarbjit Rai’s Elfins in San Francisco is one children’s story that can inspire the little ones to get out there and explore.
Written for her nieces and nephews in London in the hopes that they visit San Francisco one day, Rai tells the story of elfins and fairies living in San Francisco. Two elfin sisters, Amrin and Jaya, discover a baby Princess in Golden Gate Park and must find a way to return her to parents, the King and Queen, who live in the Palace of Fine Arts. They travel all over the city by magic carpet flying through Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden, and Marina Beach and get the Princess safely home. It is a story that will fire children’s imagination and make them curious about San Francisco and travel in general.
