I travel prepared.
Today I leave for India. I think I have all of my ducks in a row. Included in my carry-on bag is a good healthy dose of snacks – you know, just in case they don’t have food on the flight! (Of course, international flights still serve free meals before you go questioning what I’ve just said.)
Rather than diving into a foil-covered container of fatty calories, I hold out for as long as possible and eat my healthy food. Of course at some point I do relent and nibble at the rice, pasta or whatever else might be in my vegetarian offerings. But until then, it’s nuts and raisins and any other whole food that will fit into my daybag.
