A silver-lining to the grey-clouded economy, there are some fantastic deals to be had in the northwest this summer.
The Seattle Times just published a great round-up of some of these, including deep discounts at hotels and restaurants in Walla Walla wine country, gourmet dining on the coast and in the islands, and last-minute deals on vacation rentals and hotel suites that just aren’t booking up.
About a week ago, The Seattle Times also put a shout out to readers for reports of northwest and B.C. summer travel deals, and the result was a lengthy clearinghouse of this season’s super special deals.
Of course, and lucky for us, the travel industry and all the people that depend on it are doing what they can to keep the lifeblood flowing to their communities’ hearts.
What’s great about this for travelers is not only are we getting great deals, finding more availability, and dealing with slightly smaller crowds — we’re also breathing life into local economies at a time that is crucial for many people.
Weather’s warming back up this weekend – time to get out!
