Seattle-area fans of film and culture have ample opportunities to experience the best of international cinema at the annual Seattle International Film Festival. This year’s lineup boasts nearly 400 films from over 50 countries, including some lesser-known locales such as Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus and the Bahamas.
This fantastic 25-day festival is going on now through June 14th at several theaters throughout Seattle. SIFF’s fantastic website offers a comprehensive film guide which allows you to search for films by country, by genre, by show date and more. You can also buy advance tickets via the website. Don’t ya just love technology?
iPhone users can take advantage of the iSIFF app (available at the iTunes app store) to find films, view trailers, and buy tickets for the festival right from your iPhone or iPod touch.
Also helpful are the many online guides featuring film reviews, trailers and recommendations, such as The Stranger’s SIFF guide, and Seattle Weekly’s SIFF page.
