I’ve always known that skiers have very naughty minds, but of late it seems to have been jumping out at me. My theory is this: those enamoured with downhill sports are likely pleasure seekers of the passionate variety. It only seems right that skiers and boarders have the vocabulary to suit the deviance. Without further ado, I give you some of the more scarcely veiled, innuendo laden skier expressions. Try them if you dare.
Bush Whack [bʊʃ (h)wak]
verb
1 Skiing through very densely wooded terrain, often times with ones hands up in a feeble attempt to protect the facial region: Let’s go bush whacking!
Balls Deep [bôls dēp]
adjective
1 Very satisfyingly deep snow
2 An expression of snow appreciation: “Balls deep!” she exclaimed after being asked how her run was.
Snowgasm [snōgazəm]
noun
1 A climax of skiing excitement characterized by triumphant cries, breathlessness and a thirst for more.
Ski Porn [skē pôrn]
noun
1 Photos, videos and magazines catering to a voyeuristic obsession with skiing
2 Moral support for skiers out of reach of snowy peaks
Face Shot [fās shät]

Eat wood [ēt wood]

1 To ski into a tree: Timmy ate wood on that last run.
PHRASES
Ski good or eat wood! An expression warning skiers to steer clear of trees whilst skiing glades.
Pro Ho [prō hō]

1 A man or woman prone to stalker-like behavior whilst in the presence of a pro skier: What a pro ho!
(The) Sweet Spot [swēt spat]
noun
1 The point in the turn that just feels so good
2 When a skier finds perfect balance in motion: He found the sweet spot!
Bottomless [ˈbätəmlis]
adjective
1 Snow that is so deep one cannot feel a firm base; typically used to describe powder conditions: I skied bottomless powder all day.
Balls out [bôls out]
noun
1 To give a run or trick your all, forsaking all fears and at times common sense
2 A run involving much speed, far too much speed: I went balls out on that run!
