Summer in Seattle is typically a late-arriving, short-lived affair. Most years, we expect that [predictable] sunshine and warmth won’t be forthcoming until after the 4th of July. But not this year! We’ve been fortunate to enjoy one blissfully sunny day after another. No complaints–I am loving every minute. In fact today, we found the perfect way to stay cool: Sprayparks!
Seattle proper has more than ten sprayparks scattered throughout the city (surrounding areas also have a number of sprayparks). We spent a couple hours at Pratt Park and had a blast. Literally. Pratt Park has several “water cannons” that kids can swivel, aim and spray. Kids (and a few adults) enjoyed the water and, when they were ready to dry off, there is also a fabulous playground at this neighborhood gem of a park.
