I’ve been loyal to one sunglass company now for a number of years. Whenever I scratch one pair to beyond seeing capability, I just buy a new pair of the same model. I hate buying a whole new pair of sunglasses just because my lenses got scratched. This will happen no more, thanks to Switch sunglasses.
Switch sunglasses has a fully magnetic interchangeable lens frame. (Say that three times fast.) You can take out the lenses and switch them for another darker or lighter lenses whenever you’d like. The pair I received came with two pairs of lenses-one polarized pair and one low-light rose amber lenses. These sunglasses worked like a charm when I was on the river. During the day on the water, I kept the polarized lenses in. The sunglasses gave ample coverage and deflected the glare of the sun off the water. In the early morning, at lower light, I would have the low-light amber lenses in.
I put my gear through the ringer when I’m out on a trip, and I was pleasantly surprised with how durable and strong these sunglasses were. The lenses came in a small, compact, plastic container that prevented them from getting scratched. Switching the lenses out was easy as pie, and once locked in place, you couldn’t even tell that they were interchangeable lenses.
My favorite thing about these sunglasses was the fact that if the lenses get scuffed up, you don’t have to buy a new pair of sunglasses. You can just buy new lenses. When a good pair of sunglasses cost at least $100, this means huge savings. And not only huge savings, but also less waste being produced.
All in all I was very impressed with the Boreal Switch sunglasses. They are ahead of the game in terms of their magnetic technology, yet they still manage to be sporty and fashionable. It’s inevitably going to be sunny while on the river, and I’ll be wearing these shades for sure.
Boreal Switch Sunglasses retail for just under $130, and they can be bought on Amazon posted to the right.
