The owners and Chef of Green Springs Bistro
An interior view at Green Springs Bistro, Safety Harbor, FL
My life is enriched by island and coastal living, so when I find places that nourish my spirit and my love of island style living I want to share them. I recently had a delightful meal at Green Springs Bistro in Safety Harbor, Fl. Safety Harbor is a charming coastal town with a city center of houses turned into restaurants and shops. There are several blocks of shops, restaurants and pretty homes with flowered walks. There’s a relaxing park with a gazebo, as well as streets of interesting shops for visitors to explore.
Green Springs Bistro prides it’s self on “Gulf Coast Cookin.” It can be found at 156 Fourth Avenue North in downtown Safety Harbor. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch from 11:30 to 2:30 and for dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. You can also visit their website at www.greenspringsbistro.com Their menu is a mix of coastal cuisine and the chef’s own mediterranean heritage. Menu items include; a Blue Crab stuffed portobello mushroom cap, a Mahi Mahi fish sandwich, sausage, shrimp and grits, pesto seared jumbo shrimp and scallop risotto, a pecan crusted chicken breast, Saganaki and other selections. Included on their menu are some heavenly desserts, including the two my friends and I shared. Our taste buds delighted in the triple layer chocolate cake and the berry cobbler with ice cream. Eating these desserts is an opportunity to put your sharing skills to work. Three of us shared the cake and cobbler and the portions were generous enough for all of us to be thoroughly satisfied.
Green Springs Bistro is a little piece of island style dining with it’s charming coastal cottage appearace, tropical art, tasteful and relaxed decor, live music daily and special events. Green Springs Bistro offers an intimate, relaxed atmosphere that whispers coastal escape.
