When I moved into my new home my master bathroom came with a nice quality shower head that many homes have. It offered a couple styles of water flow, but being an island style girl I wanted the tropical island style rain shower head. So I began with an exploration of options at Home Depot and Lowes to see what styles were available.
I chose a Pegasus special order option from Home Depot and now I’m ever so glad that I spent the money and time to create this spa/island style shower environment in my home. There is nothing more relaxing than stepping under the flow of water designed to feel like rain falling gently on you when you wake in the morning or prepare for sleep at night. I can also attest to the fact that these things are incredibly simple to install. I did it myself and I am not generally the “do it yourself” type. If I can handle installing this rainshower head then pretty much any gal can do it. It takes only a few minutes to unscrew the old one, wrap some waterproof sealing tape on the connectors and then screw the new two piece showerhead on. For me the most difficult part was understanding the picture directions, ie.. which way the picture was displaying to turn it during attatchment, while I was wishing for simple written directions.Â
My Pegasus rainshower head came with an adjustable arm and the main rain flow shower head. Note: these pieces had to be ordered separately. Be certain to ask about separate pieces. I ordered, purchased and received one piece and then realized in hindsight I needed the additional piece, so save yourself the hassle and be clear if you need one piece or two and order both at the start. When you view the picture below you will have a better understanding of the configuration and why mine came in two separate pieces. These rain flow shower heads are a delight and if you are looking for an every day five minute escape these are the way to go for that island feel.
