Review: [rating system = 1-5 with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor]
- Sex Appeal: Very chic and emo – sleek and shiny with a happy, graphic motif of whimsical-yet-adult polka-dots. [4.0]
- Sport Appeal: More “modern sophisticate” than sporty. [1]
- Day-tripping: Comfortable for a day of shooting, but only if you only need one lens. It looks more like a small lap-top bag than a camera bag and so it would be great for street photography – allowing you to blend in and yet look a bit posh too. [4]
- World-trekking: Not designed for travel with heavy gear, however if you are looking for a stylish bag to carry a small amount of gear and some personal items – this bag is a good option. It would also be a great present for a new photographer with a simple camera set up – especially a budding street photographer. [3]
- Wearablility & Comfort: The bag is well constructed and maintains its shape so long as you don’t overburden it. Note that it does pucker on the sides if you put too much gear in it. The strap is thick and soft and not too wide – it features a comfortable and stylish shoulder pad made of black leather sewn with tiny, attractive contrasting stitching in bright white. The base of the bag has four small metal feet which help to easily keep it upright while you enjoy a cup of coffee at your favorite cafe. [3]
- Dimensions: 10.5”L —9”H—4.5”D
- Price: $129.00
- Price-to-coolness ratio: [3.75]
- Comments from women: 100% positive!
- Comments from men: 100% positive – this bag is also available in a patternless green featuring an orange lining and a brown strap. A guy friend of mine has ordered one to carry his iPad, wallet, lunch, and compact digital camera.
- Drawbacks: The size of the bag is too small for professional use or for serious travel. The sides pucker if you put too much heavy gear in it, but this is only a drawback if you like to carry a variety of lenses. It is as the website says: “sized right for traveling light.”
- Highlights: The bag is attractive and well made. The Emera tag line is “camera bags with modern style” and I would agree.
