WanderFood Wednesday: Plum Bistro in Seattle

One of my new favorite restaurants in Seattle is the vegan eatery, Plum Bistro.
Whoa – don’t let the word “vegan” scare you off. The food is so hearty that you’d barely notice that you’re eating (to what some might consider) rabbit food.
The plate above includes cornmeal encrusted seitan steak with wild mushroom gravy, thyme-roasted new potatoes and sauteed red chard. How much more well-rounded and filling could you get?
Word is that this was a regular haunt for Tobey Maguire during the shooting of “The Details.” Hey, if it’s good enough for Spidey…
Check it out for yourself:

That mushroom gravy looks yummy. I’ve been meaning to get a few different mushroom sauce recipes in my collection for just such meals. We’ve been exploring vegan food more and more lately, and are always on the lookout for meals that will appeal to the meat-eating crowd.
The sauteed chard looks absolutely delicious! Yum
this looks REALLY GOOD!!
This looks great! Yummy to the chard, potato and mushroom gravy combo!
That looks delicious
Well, who knew vegan could be so good?
Definitely adding to my restaurant bucket list!
looks wonderful. Would love to go there – or even better wish there were more places like this – I mean, I wish there were one single place like this – around here!
My god! Looks soooo wholesome. But not in a brown rice and sandals wholesome way. Delish…
I’m not a vegetarian, but everything looks amazing. I’ll pass on the chard though, never did agree with me much.
This sounds really tasty actually.
@Lauren I love chard – mmm.
