TIP: I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s worth repeating – setting artistic goals before you leave on your trip and creating a list of themes you want to explore while traveling can lead to interesting challenges and great photography!
The following series of bikes in Florence Italy was inspired by my Dad. My Father is amazing – he taught me how to laugh, tickle, torment, make fish faces, check the fluids in my car, stand-up to bullies, live for today as if the past never was, polish the chrome on my bike fenders, mow the lawn so that it looks like the grounds at Tiger Stadium, and take naps in the garden. He’s the type of guy who doesn’t ask for much and so when he asked me to take a lot of images of bikes, I jumped at the chance and added the word “bicycle” to the very top of my Italy Photo Theme List. The following is dedicated to my Father Rick Sabo – Happy Father’s Day Papa!
