(on an almost lost Halloween tradition)
Last year someone stole our Halloween bucket. For others it seemed like a silly thing to be upset about but for me, as a mom, this was our first tradition… as a family and I was heartbroken to part with it.
What was the tradition?
The school my husband works at really goes all out for Halloween, so we photographed our daughter who was born in October around the school inside the bucket. She was such a little thing. And then the following year, we did the same and the year after too. We eventually got another bucket but it was different and it just wasn’t the same.
So what happened?
About two weeks ago, my husband saw a bucket in his school’s office that looked exactly like the one we lost and asked if we could switch ours with theirs. Voíla. The bucket is back. It may not be the exact same bucket but I can live with that.
