How many times have you dropped your iPhone or iPod simply getting in or out of the car? Or walking out of the house with your arms too full?
Me? Countless times.
If you have any sort of protective case around your phone, it’s unlikely that there’s been any consequence from that drop.
But imagine being an adventurer who climbs mountains in Yellowstone, treks in Nepal or takes a week-long camel trek in Africa. Now imagine dropping that same phone 8+ feet on craggy rocks or into the sand. It would likely be toast. But not if you have it tucked safely into the Pelican i1015 case.
Pelican has a line of small(ish) cases that will help protect your iPhone, iPod or iPod Touch so that it doesn’t get damaged by water, dust or the feet of passing camels.
The hard plastic case is lined with rubber that holds your item in place while also acting as a sealer to keep out dirt or water (note that this is NOT waterproof).
It has a built-in cable that allows you to plug into the headphone jack of your device inside the case – you can then use your own headphones by plugging them in an exterior plug.
The i1015 case locks tight and requires a good pull to open it so that it’ll stay shut if dropped.
It’s a bit bulky if you’re traveling and trying to pack light but worth the space if you’ll be hard adventuring.
Available on Amazon for about $25.

I always think that the protective cases of my cellphone just spoils the beauty of it. But in case of an adventure travel I think it is a must. After all who is going to look at my phone when I am on the top of the mountain:D.

I cannot count the number of times I dropped my iPhone when I was back home. It was a miracle it never broke.

Useful review, even though I don’t use iPhone 🙂
