If you’re like me, when you travel you capture some information in your journal, but you invariably leave out some details that you later wish you had. What was the name of that Japanese gal I met at the pensione in Rome? How far was it from Udaipur to Agra? What was that tiny town in Nepal where the overnight bus broke down?
Journals Unlimited has created a unique series of travel journals that are perfect for documenting all the details of your next trip. They come in three different sizes with numerous themes available. One of my favorites is the mini Motorcycle Rider’s Journal. Each page includes pre-loaded lists with space to fill in your answers for such items as: trip check list for bike maintenance; weather; restaurants visited; bike performance; mileage ridden and more. Simply fill in the info and when you return home, you’ve got details to refer to later. These mini journals are available in 16 different titles including golfing, fishing and biking and do not include pages for journaling. They are strictly for jotting down quick details.
The larger journals include alternating pages of fill in the blank details along with blank pages where you can actually journal about your trip. The Vacation Journal is great for us travelers but there are 50 titles to choose from. They even offer personalization on the front of these hard-covered keepsakes.
And, these really are keepsakes meant for holding on to for a long time. As a result, the covers are made from a heavy cardstock, adding a bit of additional weight that most travelers would try to avoid. But, it’s this same attention to the longevity factor that will preserve the journal after you’ve shoved it into the bottom of your backpack and then tossed the backpack on the top of a bus careening through the mountains of Peru.
Travel Well!
