OK, so I don’t look this good in the Horny Toad Chaka Dress – but it is a good looking dress.
I had a chance to wear this for the first time over the weekend during a party I co-hosted with the Passports with Purpose founders (see below) while we were in Vancouver for a conference.
What works for me
The fact that there is a band around the waist is a huge plus for me. As a large-chested woman, I can’t wear anything on top that drapes, it just makes me look fat or, worse, pregnant. This does neither (I don’t think!).
It’s made of eco-friendly Tencel fabric which is soft as it’s made from an organic cotton and spandex blend.
It’s versatile as it can be worn in the summer or in the winter with a nice jacket over it. And very important to me… it’s quite packable, taking up little room in my luggage.
What doesn’t work for me
The front is cut just a bit low for my liking but I wore a simple scarf which helped me feel not so self conscious.
For just $76 on the Horny Toad website, this would be an excellent addition to your wardrobe – whether you’re traveling or not. It’s simple enough for most occasions and can easily be dressed up with accessories.
Travel Well,
Beth
