I like being short. As a matter of fact, I’ve always wished that I were shorter. I know. That sounds weird. And I can’t explain it. At 5’2″ I realize I’m not super short, but when I meet people for the first time — people whom I’ve known online sometimes for years — the first thing they often say is, “I didn’t realize you were so short.” I take it as a compliment. It makes me think my big personality makes me seem more than I am 🙂
It’s likely that my attachment to my height deficit is the reason I don’t usually wear heels (despite a hubby who is 6’).
But recently I’ve been enjoying my Brooklyn clogs from Flojos. And flats they are not.
As a matter of fact, they’ve got quite a nice heel. And I’m still digging them!
The Flojos Brooklyn clogs, with a 2 1/2 inch heel, feature a simple metal buckle in addition to small metal studs as trim. The uppers are made of faux leather making them vegan. And if you’re ordering them online, you should know that they definitely fit true-to-size.
These aren’t too flashy for my taste and I do love the fact that they are made of faux-leather and are therefore animal-friendly. It’s a nice bonus to a pair of dress shoes. While they might be a little bulky to pack for a long trip, they are perfect for weekend getaways to a nearby city (in my case, someplace like Vancouver).
Flojos is best known for their casual beachwear shoes including sandals for men and women but they also manufacture a variety of clogs and toning shoes.
The Brooklyn clogs are available on the Flojos site for $60 and come in black, steel blue and tan. Enjoy!
Travel Well,
Beth

Aw, now I too would never have guessed you were short. I thought you were my kind of height — I’m 5’7″. It’s a funny old world.
