Are you an outdoor type? Hiker? Biker? If so, you might like the Get-Back mini-GPS from Brunton. This very portable unit will help you find the way back to your starting point whether you’re in the backcountry and need help, or are in a more urban area and simply want to find out how much farther you have to go.
The Brunton Get-Back allows you to set 2 waypoints, so you can hike up, over and then find another route back to the start.
Weighing just 1.4 ounces, it tracks your mileage (or kilometers) and direction, and lasts 20 hours on a single charge, which can be done using the USB port directly on your laptop or other charger.
Would you like you’re very own (very gently tested) Brunton? I’m giving one away this month!
Simply leave a comment below and tell me where you would use this. Give us a bit of info on where you like to hike or bike so we can visually place you there.
You’ll then be entered into a random drawing to win.
Approximate Value for the Brunton Get Back is $95!
This contest closes at 11:59 pm PST on July 31, 2012 and one lucky winner will be chosen on August 1, 2012.
Available to individuals in North America only (sorry!). Winners have 3 days to reply once being notified.
Travel Well,
Beth

That’s really neat! We like to hike in the state park near us, it’s really beautiful.
We are preparing now for a move to Southern Ohio, where there are lots of state parks and places to hike and camp. I would be very excited to get to use it there! ๐
Thanks!

Looks like a great unit. I walk 10K’s during the week and it would be helpful in some places where there are questions about directions.
I am living in Asia now and just getting ready to move back to Illinois. I have recently gotten interested in hiking and will be doing trips to Mongolia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand in August. When I am back in Illinois, I hope to be doing lots of weekend trips to the state parks. Will be home just in time for fall and the changing color of the leaves!
Thanks for the offer of the mini-GPS unit. If chosen, I would use it to impress my new male friend (soon to be boyfriend?) with my outdoor skills. He is a real gear fanatic (built his own wooden kayak) and loves to hike, bike and kayak. We met by chance on the Little Lakes Valley trail, which is my all-time favorite trail in the Mammoth Lakes area of California. I was hiking off trail and literally stumbled into him when I finally hooked up with the main trail. I asked him if he wanted to join me the rest of the way and he did. So, to commemorate the start of our relationship, I would take him back there to test out my new toy!

My family and I have started hiking, Mt. Ranier was our first one. My daughter is in Afghanistan and when she comes home we will need something like that to take us further in, WE have 4 children and do not want to get lost with our babies. She returns around Christmas, we hope and this would be a great present. Thank you for reading this.
If I were to receive the Mini-GPS, I would use it with my mom how has recently decided to do a 5k and is training with me by doing bike rides. Most of the time we are just able to go out in the neighborhoods but we never know exactly how far we have gone! She is a type 1 diabetic who has taken very good care of herself so to do this 5k together would mean the world to us. So having this tool would help me help my mom train for something I never thought I would get the opportunity to do with her!!
Quite honestly, I am a person who doesn’t know
north, south, east of west! If someone tells
me left of right, then I can find my way. Our youngest
son attends school at the University of Minnesota and
we live in Illinois. We would love to hike in some of
the parks, when we go to visit him…
Many thanks, Cindi
I want this as a gift for my son….
Hi there! I like to take my little guys biking thru trails near our house! It would be awesome to enjoy the moment rather than thinking about how not to get lost the whole time, lol! Thanks for the chance!! ๐
This would be awesome if it would work on hikes in an upcoming trip in Nepal. We could also use this on our frequent hikes in Colorado.
I’m taking my partner to Crater Lake in Oregon this September for his birthday. It would come in very handy while doing short hikes around the trails!
I love to explore the woods here in New England and this would be a great tool to take along for the hike!
Our family has recently started hiking at Latta Plantation and around the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. We also have a camp site reserved at Skidaway Island near Savannah GA for later this year. So this would definitively help me, my husband and three small kids to feel more comfortable going on those longer hikes.
