Today WanderShopper shares with you a new feature: WanderQuotes showcasing some of my favorite shopping and travel quotes. For over a decade I’ve been keeping a notebook of quotes I like, listing favorites as I come across them. For me, a quote can be inspiration and give me a pause during my day to reflect. I hope you enjoy the graphics I have created to go along with the quote. I have gathered them from my collection of photographs taken during my shopping excursions around the world. I will be selecting quotes that relate to travel, shopping and a global lifestyle. Please share them with your friends. They are designed to work well on Facebook and Pinterest. And if you have any favorite shopping or travel quotes of your own, please pass them along for a future post.
Today’s quote comes from the first woman to be Secretary of State in the United States, Madeleine Albright. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Albright served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations before her time as Secretary of State. Albright speaks English, French, Russian and Czech fluently as well as being able to read Polish and Serbo-Croatian. In 2009, Albright released her book Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat’s Jewel Box which celebrates her jewelry collection and shares how she used her pins as an expression of personal and diplomatic style. Albright is a woman who knows the importance of accessorizing and we salute her as the author of our first WanderQuote.
