My husband and I are moving to San Diego over the next couple of weeks, which means two things: WanderFood Wednesday posts will be pre-scheduled (eliminating my ability to do the link share – my apologies!, it will be back in 2-3 weeks!), and my ability to cook is severely compromised (my kitchen is half-packed in boxes as I type). But it also means that I have been saying an extended Goodbye to my home of the last few years: Orange County, California.
Here are the flavors I’ll miss the most.
Breakfast:
Layer Cake’s French Toast with all the fixings (Fullerton) [Pictured]
The Filling Station – Everything on the menu, now serving Breakfast all day! (Old Towne Orange)
The Early Bird Cafe – Egg’s Benedict & hipsterific atmosphere (Yorba Linda)
Lunch:
Che Cali’s BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Pho Ga (Corner of Brookhurst & Talbert Streets in Huntington Beach)
Dinner:
The Cellar’s French cuisine, classic cocktails, and Grand Marnier souffle (Fullerton)
Tony’s Little Italy Chicago Style Pizza (Placentia)
Tamarind of London – the whole menu is amazing, best Indian food in OC! (Newport Beach)
Napa Rose (Disneyland)
Yes, we have some excellent restaurants in Orange County, and I’ll miss each of them. But, I look forward to culinary explorations on new turf!
