You’d be hard pressed to find someone who is more of a watermelon fanatic than me. I think I might have gone just one or two days without my favorite food during my recent travels. Wanna get on my good side? Send me something watermelon-ish (hint hint). Anything. A candle. A bag of Jolly Ranchers. A whole watermelon. You’ll be my best friend for life!
I spent the majority of time in 100 degree heat, so my drink of choice was… WATERMELON JUICE!
Most were good. And I generally rated them on size and cost. The bigger and cheaper the better. On average I probably paid about $1.50 for each one.
Though this one looks lighter in color than the others, it was just as scrumptious.
This one just needed a little stir and it was wonderful with my veggie lunch.
The piece de resistance was this HUGE one that my friend, Kim, served me at her cafe (Kim Cafe) in the Pham Ngu Lao area of Saigon. It’s hard to tell just how big this one is so…
…maybe this’ll give you a better idea as to how large it was – bigger than my head!
