A couple of months ago, WanderMom (Michelle Duffy) and I were invited to an open-house type of event at the new Four Seasons in downtown Seattle. A beautiful view accompanied by magnificent food and drink and the opportunity to visit with other Seattle-area travel writers couldn’t keep us away.
Michelle enjoyed the meaty items, like the bacon topped potatoes (pictured above) while I sampled the veggies, cheeses & crackers, with an occasional seafood item.
In addition to enjoying a smattering of appetizers, we had the chance to tour the kitchen where the chef and cooks were busily trying to keep up with the demands from the crowd.
The spoonfuls of appetizers here were filled with potatoes, baby octopus and mint.
We also had tasty treats from the sushi bar, where we had our choice of shrimp sitting atop white rice or spring rolls.
The Art Lounge features a happy hour menu Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. with many delectable choices from their main menu. And, through September 1, 2009 you can enjoy a bottle of wine with your dinner from the house wine list at a 50% discount!
