It could happen. Miracles do, you know. Especially at this time of year. Weather forecasters are predicting a possible dusting in Seattle tomorrow morning – which could very well extend to next week. Okay, I made that last part up. Still, let’s keep hope alive. We could have a white Christmas yet . . .
What do Seattleites do when it snows – besides make snow angels? Well, one thing we don’t do so well is drive on the city hills. Check this YouTube video to see memories of years past. For the most part, you’ll see neighborhood streets that look more like this:
As you might expect in Starbucks’ hometown, we use snow as an excuse to fortify ourselves with more caffeine than usual.
Later on in the day, you might see us warming up with a Seattle craft beer at a favorite local spot, like the 74th Street Ale House.
You might also catch up with us at our neighborhood independent bookstore, browsing the shelves for just the right book to savor on a cold, wintry afternoon.
You might see us walking through the snow . . .
But whatever we do, you can be sure that we’ll find time to play!
Wander on!
Nancy
What about you, wanderboomers? How do you celebrate snow days?
