When I started my blog a few years ago, I planned to write more about travel to Armenia and our adoption. That’s why Pampers and Pakhlava is Pampers and Pakhlava after all.
Then, for a variety of personal reasons, I ultimately chose to limit what I published on the internet while our adoption was still in process. I shifted the focus of my writing to trips Big Papa and I took, photography and food.
Post-adoption, I feel more free to write about all of it: the trips we made over the past few years to our daughter’s beautiful and fascinating homeland, our adoption journey, how we navigate being new parents mid-life, and all the adventures that lie ahead.
But today, on Photo Friday, I’d like to share a couple photos of our very own STAR, the gal who puts the Pampers back into Pampers and Pakhlava.
We are so deeply grateful to welcome this Baby Bird home, to our nest, the Urban Cabin.
What a thrilling time in our lives, for all of us: me, Big Papa…and even Maggie-the-cat!
Miss seeing you but so thrilled this came to fruition! I have a grandson nearly the same age so I will understand her milestones for sure. Enjoy this special time, even the period of adjustment! Hugs, M
Yippeeee, Mommy!!!! You’re across the finish line!!! Can’t wait to continue to read about the adventure of parenthood!!!
Looks like everyone is starting to settle into a routine.
We’re working on it, Karla!
OMG – you must be so ecstatic!
How cute is she!? Unbelievable journey you’re on, Beth. Write it all down now. The time flies by so fast . . .
Awwwww! She is precious – and that BIB. Omg. Star of Mommy’s Blog is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I am so excited for you, and for where your blog is headed. Yay!
You brought tears to my eyes. She is adorably beautiful. Great bib!!
Aw, thanks Debby! The bib was a Target find. Tough to resist, under the circumstances 😉
I want to squeeze and hug her!
She’s absolutely adorable – congratulations!
You bethca!
Congratulations! Such happy news! She is beautiful.
Your daughter is so cute! Enjoy her– I still can’t believe how fast it is all going by with my little boy. A good Mommy Blog can be a great resource for you because you get useful tips that only come with experience. One of my favorites is Young Urban Moms. I get great tips, advice, stories, and ideas from moms that are really easy to relate to and really funny. You should take a look.
