Lately I’ve been longing to go back to Spain, to walk the entire 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route the Camino Francés. When I walked it a couple of years ago, I only had time for 150 miles. So until I am able to go back, I thought I would look through my pictures, reminisce, and just put some random photographs from my pilgrimage in a blog.
I thought I’d also share my “Ode to My Feet” poem that I wrote at some point along the way, as well as my “Life/Walk Thoughts.”
Life/Walk Thoughts: Walk through it. Walk around it. Walk towards it. Walk away from it. Walk in front of it. Walk behind it. Walk beside it.
Ode to My Feet:
My feet, my feet, my left and my right.
You walk, you walk, with all your might.
With each step, each step, each step you take.
On this path that you help me make.
We walk, and walk, on this El Camino.
I hope to make it safely to Santiago.
I’ll give you massages and put on some lotion.
So that you can keep moving in healthy motion.
So together we’ll walk, we’ll amble, we’ll stroll.
On this journey of life, where ever we may go.
Sweet Travels!
