Maybe I’m biased, but today’s Travelers Night In was the most spirited one yet. Sure, I was hopped on a large French Press of coffee and a glazed doughnut as I co-hosted the cyber chat festivities on behalf of Wanderlust and Lipstick, but travelers seemed extra enthused to talk about their hometowns. It didn’t hurt that Jarritos, the Mexican beverage company sponsored the chat and gave away oodles of swag, including two $200 American Airlines gift certificates. Sweet, right? Of course, I gave my hometown, Seattle all the props it deserves – including my best attempt to debunk its rain stereotype (New York City, Chicago and Boston all get more annual rainfall).
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get my #TNI fix next week – I’ll be busy volunteering in Honduras – but for those of you around Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET, swing by the Twitterverse to talk Family Travel. I promise you’ll have fun – it’s one heckuva an online party — if you can keep up. I kid. Remember Tweetdeck is your friend and that the gals at ZipSetGo.com who host the event offer a handy dandy custom tweetgrid that helps make keeping up with 10 fast paced questions a snap. Thanks again April, Rachel and SaraBeth for including me in the festivities — I’m counting the days until I’m stateside again and back in co-hosting action.
