One of my favorite places to fly into is Salt Lake City. When I go, I usually have an early morning flight, which means that I get to watch the sunrise as we’re descending. And I always feel like a kid, glued to the plane’s window, like I’ve never seen such a sight before.
Having grown up on the east coast, I feel deprived in Seattle, where we get very little snow in the city itself. Therefore, it’s always eye candy for me to see it.
As I walked from my hotel to the convention center one day, I noticed this fountain. While the water was able to pour over the sides, the spray was building up in an ice formation that must have accumulated over weeks, if not more than a month. More delighted kid feeling.
I know the east coast is dreading Nemo (really, Nemo?) this weekend, but I miss the drama and beauty that snow brings.
Travel Well,
Beth
